HB Air is focused on air and surface testing, we may recommend certain retail products to help address minor issues exposed in a test, but we do not provide any contracting or remediation services.

We believe its important for testing services to be neutral and unbiased. Combining testing and repair services creates an incentive to find problems or exaggerate them in order to upsell a customer on contracted repairs.

We primarily focus on residential customers, but can provide air testing to any business, medical, church, industrial, or commercial facility. Our lab reports are accredited and usable for official or legal purposes. 

Large facilities over 3,000 sq ft should contact us directly via call or email for a custom quote and bulk discount.

Our large structure consultations are designed for customers that need an entire large building tested. If you only need one or two rooms checked, feel free to schedule a basic consultation.

Please Note: if you decide add several additional tests to a basic consultation, or to upgrade your consultation package during the appointment, we may need to reschedule the visit to allow for the extra time required to complete a service.

NO. For the most accurate results, a room should be kept as close to its typical "lived in" condition as possible. Feel free to pick up loose objects like toys and cloths, but do not vacuum or scrub down areas right before a test, these actions can throw off the results.

The outside test is a control sample that provides insight into the environment around your home. This control is used to establish a baseline that the indoor tests are compared against to help expose a problem.

Home air systems should reduce contaminants compared to the outside control sample. Any increase in contaminants compared to the outside air shows a problem that needs attention.

Depending on construction and venting design, its possible for mold in a crawlspace or attic to affect your home's conditioned air. We can check these areas if an issue is suspected.

Additional charges may be assessed if a space is dangerous, requires full body protective equipment, or is otherwise difficult to access. Be sure to disclose known hazards, like venomous or poisonous pests, rodents, asbestos, or other relevant safety issues.

As an independent lab test provider, HB Air can check the work of other remediation companies, providing lab accredited legal evidence of an unresolved problem, or proof that it was resolved.
